The doctors of Distinctive Eyewear are passionate about optometry. They provide comprehensive eye care for adults, children and infants.
Dr. Jennifer Mentessi Dr. Mentessi is a 1999 graduate of The Ohio State University, where she received an undergraduate degree in Physiological Optics and a Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Mentessi is a therapeutically-licensed optometrist. She has a special interest in ocular disease, contact lenses, and pediatric vision. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, and the North Royalton Chamber of Commerce.
Doctor Mentessi enjoys visiting classrooms throughout the year, teaching grade school students the importance of maintaining a lifetime of good eye health. She is a native of North Royalton and presently resides there with her husband, Dr. Brian Fitzsimons, and their two sons.
Dr. Jean Orehek-Dreyer Dr. Jean Orehek-Dreyer joined our practice in May 2006. She is a 1992 graduate of The Ohio State College of Optometry and formerly practiced Optometry in Cleveland’s eastern suburbs.
Dr. Orehek-Dreyer enjoys seeing all varieties of patients and has a special interest in contact lenses, especially bifocal contacts. She lives in Willoughby Hills with her husband Steve and their two children.
Judy Mileti, LDO, ABOC Judy Mileti has been dispensing eyewear for over 25 years. She is passionate about making your experience at Distinctive Eyewear like no other. Dressing faces is what she does best.
Judy is always on the lookout for innovative new designers. She continually updates our eyewear selection to bring you the latest fashion and exciting collections from around the world.
Judy is licensed by the State of Ohio Optical Dispensers Board, and certified by the American Board of Opticianry. Prior to opening Distinctive Eyewear, Judy was CEO for Dr. Richard Cook’s 3 practices. She has served on the board of the Cleveland Opticians Association. Judy is an active member of the North Royalton Chamber of Commerce, COSE and the Business and Professional Women’s Organization. She and her husband reside in North Royalton.
Sue Butts, Optician Sue Butts also started her optical career with Dr. Richard Cook and has over 20 years experience in the optical field. She has been licensed by the State of Ohio Optical Dispensers Board since 1990.
Sue provides our customers caring, expert service and has fit 1,000’s of faces in the perfect pair of frames.
Distinctive Eyewear offers something most optical places don’t—in-house lens manufacturing. We also service everything we sell on site. Sue runs the edger in our office to make your glasses to exacting specifications.
Sue Loddo, Optician Sue Loddo's interest in eye care developed through her volunteer work for the Cleveland Sight Center, where she conducted vision screening tests for preschoolers. That progressed into full time employment with a private optometrist in 1989. She has been licensed by the State of Ohio Board of Dispensing Opticians and certified by the American Board of Opticianry since 1992. Sue is also a member of the Ohio Opticians Association.
She is available to assist you with appointment scheduling, insurance questions, contact lens care and ordering, and, of course, styling your new eyewear.
Theresa Huber, Bookkeeper/Receptionist Theresa began her optical career in 1986 as a receptionist for Dr. Richard Cook. She has over 20 years experience working in optical and medical practices in the Greater Cleveland area.
Theresa handles all our bookkeeping and ensures the smooth operation of administrative matters for our practice. She is extremely knowledgeable about insurance, and assists clients with any billing questions. Theresa epitomizes organization at its finest.
