EXAMS:

Distinctive Eyewear provides comprehensive family eyecare for all ages. Our doctors are also trained to treat ocular disease, infection and injury. Drs. Mentessi and Orehek recommend annual eye exams to keep their patients eyes healthy, and seeing their best!

• optomap, ultra-wide digital retinal imaging.

 

This new system helps the doctor capture more than 80% of your retina in one panoramic image. Traditional methods trypically reveal only 10-12% of your retina at one time. This enhances the doctors abiltiy to detect even the earliest sign of disease that presents on your retina.The optomap takes only seconds,is not painful and trypically does not require dilation. However for care reasons, diltaion may still be required.

• Your eyes don't always tell you when something is wrong, optomap does. As in anything else early detection is vital.

CONTACT LENSES:

We offer several different types of contact lenses to fit your lifestyle. Everything from daily disposable, to 30-day extended wear, to bifocal contact lenses. We can fit most patients into a contact lens that is comfortable and offers them superior vision.

INFANTSEE:

We are participating in a new program called infantsee, providing no cost eye evaluations for infants 6-12 months old. The program goal is to reduce and prevent the threat of serious vision impairment through early detection

We also do in house edging.
